When Aphrodite's Daughter Got Knocked Up: A Half-Blood Pregnancy Scandal Here's a short excerpt from the story, written in a show-don't-tell style with humor, playful insults, and extensive dialogue: --- I pulled Charles aside, my heart pounding like a war drum. I took a deep breath and blurted out, Charles, I'm pregnant. His eyes widened, and for a moment, he looked like one of his own miniature statues, frozen in shock. Then he stammered, Selina, I-I don't know what to say. I playfully rolled my eyes. Well, how about 'Congratulations, Selina'? Or 'Wow, Selina, I can't believe we're going to be parents'? Something like that? Charles chuckled nervously. Right, sorry. Congratulations, Selina. Wow, I can't believe we're going to be parents. I grinned, feeling a warmth in my chest that had nothing to do with the baby. See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Three months later, my baby bump was still barely noticeable, but if you looked closely, you could see it. And apparently, one of the sons of Demeter was looking closely, because the rest of the Aphrodite cabin found out about my pregnancy from him. Hey, Selina, heard the news, said Piper, a fellow Aphrodite daughter, with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. You're preggers, huh? I raised an eyebrow. And here I thought you were a seeker of truth and justice, Piper. Guess I was wrong. Piper laughed. Nah, I'm just a seeker of gossip. And you, my friend, are the hottest gossip at Camp Half-Blood right now. I groaned. Great. Just what every pregnant girl wants to hear. Piper grinned. Don't worry, Selina. We'll make sure you get the royal treatment. After all, you're carrying the next generation of demigods. I rolled my eyes. Yeah, yeah. Just make sure you don't treat me like I'm made of glass. I'm still Selina, the daughter of Aphrodite. I can handle anything.

Chapter One: The Big Reveal

Selina, a 17-year-old with raven black hair and piercing blue eyes, sat on her bed in the Aphrodite cabin, staring at a small, intricately carved statue of herself. It was a gift from her boyfriend, Charles, the son of Hephaestus. She traced her fingers over the delicate features, a small smile playing on her lips.

With a deep breath, she rose from her bed and walked towards the door of the cabin. She spotted Charles outside, his muscular form bent over a broken wheel. He was always tinkering with something, his hands never idle.

"Charles," she called out, and he looked up, his dark eyes meeting hers. She pulled him aside, her heart pounding in her chest. "We need to talk."

He straightened up, a questioning look on his face. She hesitated for a moment, gathering her courage. "Charles, I'm pregnant."

His eyes widened, and for a moment, he just stared at her. Then, a smile spread across his face, so wide and genuine that she couldn't help but smile back. "Really? That's amazing!"

She rolled her eyes, the smile fading from her face. "Yes, amazing. Now I have to deal with the gossip of the entire camp."

He chuckled, stepping closer to her. "Well, at least we'll have a little bundle of joy to keep us company."

She couldn't help but smile at his optimism. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

They walked back to the cabin, where the rest of the Aphrodite cabin was gathered around, chatting and laughing. Selina felt all eyes on her as she entered, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Selina, you're pregnant?!" exclaimed one of the girls, a daughter of Demeter.

Selina sighed, "Yes, I am. And I would appreciate it if you all kept it to yourselves."

The daughter of Demeter snorted, "Good luck with that. Everyone's going to know soon enough."

Selina glared at her, "Excuse me? I don't remember asking for your opinion."

The daughter of Demeter rolled her eyes, "Fine, keep your secrets. But don't come crying to me when the entire camp knows."

Selina's hands clenched into fists, her eyes flashing. "I don't need your help, thank you very much. I can handle this on my own."

The daughter of Demeter raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? And how do you plan to do that?"

Selina took a deep breath, her eyes meeting the daughter of Demeter's. "I'll figure it out. I always do."

The daughter of Demeter snorted, but didn't say anything else. Selina turned away, her mind already racing with plans and possibilities. She would handle this, she would handle everything. She always did.
