When Aphrodite's Daughter Got Knocked Up: A Half-Blood Pregnancy Scandal And here's a short excerpt from the story, written in a show-don't-tell style with humor, playful insults, and extensive dialogue between characters: --- Selina's heart pounded in her chest as she pulled Charles aside, away from the prying eyes of their fellow campers. She took a deep breath and blurted out, Charles, I'm pregnant. Charles blinked at her in surprise, his dark eyes wide. Wait, what? Selina rolled her eyes. You heard me, you big lump of metal. I'm pregnant. Charles's face paled. But...how? We've only been together for a few months. Selina shrugged, her black hair falling over her shoulders. I guess the gods had other plans. I found out this morning. Charles looked like he was about to faint, so Selina punched him lightly on the arm. Hey, stop looking like that. I'm not going to abandon you or the baby. We'll figure it out together. Charles nodded, still looking shell-shocked. Yeah, of course. I just...I need some time to process this. Selina nodded. I understand. But we can't keep it a secret for long. The Aphrodite cabin will find out eventually. And find out they did, three months later. Selina's baby bump was still small, but noticeable if you knew where to look. She was walking back from the dining pavilion when she heard a group of girls from the Aphrodite cabin whispering behind her. Did you hear? Selina's pregnant. No way! Who's the father? I heard it's some son of Demeter. Can you believe it? Selina turned around and glared at them. Hey, I can hear you. And for your information, the father is Charles, son of Hephaestus. So back off. The girls looked at each other and snickered. Ooh, someone's feisty. Must be the hormones. Selina clenched her fists, but before she could say anything, one of the girls spoke up. Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult you. It's just...we're all a little surprised. Selina nodded, taking a deep breath. I know. It's a lot to take in. But I'm still Selina, and I'm still your sister. So let's just support each other, okay? The girls nodded, and Selina turned around and walked away, a small smile on her face. She might be pregnant, but she was still the daughter of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. And she was determined to face whatever came her way with strength, control, and a whole lot of humor.

Chapter One: The Big Reveal

The Aphrodite cabin was alive with the sound of laughter and music, but Selina found herself unable to join in on the festivities. She was sitting on her bed, running her fingers through her long, curly hair, lost in thought. Her eyes kept drifting to the small statue of herself that Charles had made for her. It was a beautiful piece of work, and she couldn't help but feel a swell of pride every time she looked at it.

She stood up and walked over to the door, looking out at the campgrounds. She saw Charles, her boyfriend and the son of Hephaestus, working in the forge. He was covered in soot and sweat, but he looked as handsome as ever. She couldn't wait to tell him the news.

Selina walked over to Charles, a playful smirk on her face. "Well, if it isn't the Greek god who's been rolling in the dirt," she teased.

Charles laughed and wiped his forehead with a rag. "Only for you, my love," he replied.

Selina took a deep breath and blurted out, "I have something to tell you. I'm pregnant."

Charles looked at her, his eyes wide with shock. "What?" he stammered.

Selina nodded, a small smile on her lips. "Yes, I'm three months pregnant. The baby is healthy, and everything is fine."

Charles hugged Selina tightly, his face breaking out into a huge grin. "That's amazing news, Selina! I'm so happy!"

Selina hugged him back, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of worry that was creeping in. "I know it's a lot to take in, but we'll figure it out. We're demigods, after all. We're used to facing challenges."

Just then, they heard laughter and voices outside the cabin. Selina looked out the window and saw a group of campers, including a son of Demeter, walking towards the cabin.

Selina quickly pulled Charles aside and whispered, "I think we should keep this a secret for now. I don't want everyone to know yet."

Charles nodded in agreement, but as they were about to go back inside, the son of Demeter called out, "Hey, Selina! What's going on? You look like you've been eating well."

Selina blushed and looked down at her stomach. She realized that her baby bump was slightly visible. She quickly covered it up with her hands and said, "I'm just... bloated. From the food at the dining pavilion."

The son of Demeter raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Sure, sure. Well, if you need any help with... anything, just let me know."

Selina rolled her eyes and said, "Thanks, but I think I can handle it."

The campers laughed and walked away. Selina turned to Charles and said, "Great. Now they're going to think I'm fat."

Charles chuckled and said, "They're just jealous. You're going to be an amazing mother."

Selina smiled and hugged Charles. She knew that they had a long road ahead of them, but with Charles by her side, she felt ready to face anything. She was excited about the future and the new addition to their family.

As they walked back to the cabin, Selina couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. She was in love, she was going to be a mother, and she was surrounded by friends and family. Life couldn't get any better than this.
