When Gods Misbehave: The Scandalous Tale of Aniya, Hera, and the Birth of Hephaestus

Chapter One: A Goddess's Confession

The grand feast of the gods was in full swing, the halls of Olympus echoing with the laughter and merriment of the immortal company. At the head of the table, Zeus, the king of the gods, held court, his booming voice cutting through the din. But it was not Zeus who held my attention. No, my gaze was fixed upon the goddess seated to my right, Hera, the queen of the gods and my dearest friend.

Hera was listening to my story with a small smile on her face, her blue eyes sparkling with amusement. But when I began to speak of a certain incident, her smile faded, replaced by a look of irritation.

"Aniya, do continue your story," Zeus said, raising an eyebrow at Hera's interruption.

I took a deep breath and began again. "So, like I was saying, I left to do my makeup and thirty minutes later, when I returned, I couldn't find Hera anywhere. I began to search for her, growing more and more worried. I found one of her high heels near a door, and I nearly knocked it down in my haste."

The room was silent as I continued my tale. "When I entered, I found Hera... indisposed with a random mortal. I was shocked, of course, and I said to her, 'Girl, you are married! You can't be doing this!'"

Hera, her face flushed, said, "Fuck Zeus and fuck marriage!" I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her friend's words.

"I quickly gathered my wits and said, 'Girl, you are drunk. We are leaving.' Hera put on her clothes and we left, and that's how Hephaestus came to be."

The room was silent as I finished my story. Hera's face was red, and Zeus's eyes were narrowed.

"Is this true, Hera?" Zeus asked, his voice low.

Hera looked down at her hands, not meeting his gaze. "Yes," she said softly.

I leaned back in my chair, a satisfied smile on my face. "Well, that's that then," I said, taking another sip of my drink.

The other gods and goddesses murmured amongst themselves, casting curious glances at Hera and me.

Zeus stood up, his face thunderous. "Hera, we need to talk," he said, and the two of them left the room, leaving me behind.

I watched them go, a smirk on my face. "Good luck with that, Hera," I said under my breath.

I turned back to the rest of the company, my eyes twinkling. "Who's up for another round?" I asked, holding up my goblet.

A cheer went up from the gods and goddesses, and the feast continued long into the night. But even as I drank and laughed, my mind was on Hera and the confession she had made. It was a rare moment of vulnerability from the queen of the gods, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for her.

But even as I felt for Hera, I couldn't deny the thrill that ran through me at the thought of the power I held. As the goddess of sins and ruler of Tartarus, I was no stranger to secrets and confessions. And as I listened to the gods and goddesses around me, I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets they were hiding.

"Aniya, you look deep in thought," Apollo, the god of the sun, said, taking the seat next to me.

I smiled at him, my eyes sparkling. "Just contemplating the mysteries of the universe, Apollo," I said, taking another sip of my drink.

Apollo laughed, his golden curls bouncing. "Of course, you are. Well, if you ever need someone to help you unravel those mysteries, you know where to find me."

I laughed, my heart light. "Of course, Apollo. I'll keep that in mind."

The feast continued, the gods and goddesses drinking and laughing, their secrets and confessions forgotten for the moment. But as the night wore on, I knew that it was only a matter of time before they were revealed once again. And as the goddess of sins, I would be there to hear them all.
