The dining room of Brigitte and Apollo's palace was alight with the glow of a hundred candles, casting flickering shadows on the walls as they played host to the divine couple of the evening: Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and Hephaestus, the god of fire. Brigitte, a vision of pink hair and dark eyes, welcomed them with open arms, while Apollo, the god of the sun, busied himself in the kitchen, eavesdropping on the arguing couple with keen interest.
"How can you say I don't satisfy you?" Hephaestus's voice boomed, his dark brown hair and tan skin a stark contrast to Aphrodite's blonde curls and blue eyes. "It was a one-night stand, and you should have been more careful!"
Aphrodite's eyes flashed with indignation. "You're the one who couldn't control yourself! I can't help it if I'm irresistible."
Brigitte and Apollo exchanged playful insults about their own love lives, with Apollo bragging about his many conquests and Brigitte teasing him for being too full of himself.
"You're just jealous because you can't keep a goddess in your bed for more than one night," Brigitte taunted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Apollo shot her a smirk. "At least I don't have to resort to tricking them into getting pregnant to keep them around."
Their banter was interrupted by Aphrodite's revelation. "I'm six months pregnant with Hephaestus' twins," she announced, her voice barely above a whisper.
Hephaestus stared at her in disbelief, his face a mixture of shock and anger. "What? How could you be so careless?"
Aphrodite hung her head in shame. "I was drunk at the party where we...you know. I didn't realize until later."
Hephaestus lashed out, calling Aphrodite a careless and irresponsible goddess. Aphrodite retaliated by calling him a boring and unimaginative lover.
Brigitte and Apollo listened in on the argument, with Brigitte expressing her sympathy for Hephaestus and Apollo siding with Aphrodite.
Aphrodite, feeling embarrassed and rejected, started to cry. Brigitte, being the goddess of fun and joy, tried to cheer her up by suggesting a night of partying and drinking.
Apollo, feeling guilty for his earlier comments, offered to accompany Aphrodite and Brigitte on their night out. The three of them left the palace, leaving Hephaestus behind.
As they made their way to the party, Brigitte and Apollo continued to tease and insult each other, with Aphrodite joining in on the fun.
They arrived at the party and were greeted by a group of drunk and rowdy gods and goddesses. Brigitte, Apollo, and Aphrodite started to mingle and dance, forgetting their troubles for the night.
As the night went on, Brigitte noticed that Hephaestus had arrived at the party, looking for Aphrodite. She warned Apollo and Aphrodite, but they were too drunk to care.
Hephaestus confronted Aphrodite, demanding to know why she brought their personal problems to a public party. Aphrodite, feeling guilty, apologized and agreed to talk things over with him.
Brigitte, feeling satisfied that she was able to bring the couple back together, continued to dance and drink with Apollo.
The night ended with Brigitte, Apollo, and Aphrodite stumbling back to the palace, with Hephaestus following close behind.
As they entered the palace, Brigitte turned to Apollo with a wink. "Well, that was a night to remember."
Apollo grinned, his arm around Brigitte's shoulders. "Indeed, it was. But I have a feeling the real fun is just beginning."
