When Gods Play Dangerous Games: The Scandalous Trip of Aniya and Hera, and the Unexpected Consequence of a Single Night

Chapter One: A Goddess’s Confession

The grand feast of the gods was in full swing, the halls of Mount Olympus echoing with laughter and conversation. At the center of it all sat Aniya, the goddess of sins and ruler of Tartarus, her tan skin glowing in the soft light. Her curly brown hair fell in loose waves around her shoulders, and she held a goblet of ambrosia in one hand, a plate of nectar-soaked fruit in the other.

“And then, I tell you, Hera almost fell off her chariot!” Aniya’s words slurred together as she told her story, her boisterous laugh causing a few heads to turn. The other gods and goddesses listened with rapt attention as she regaled them with tales of her and Hera’s adventures.

But as Aniya continued her story, she mentioned leaving Hera alone for a short time to freshen up. She said that when she returned, she found one of Hera’s high heels near a door and, thinking something was wrong, nearly knocked the door down.

Inside, she found Hera “hooking up” with a random mortal man. Aniya, shocked and amused, confronted Hera about her indiscretion.

Hera, unrepentant and still in the throes of passion, told Aniya to “fuck Zeus and fuck marriage.” Aniya, always the voice of reason, dragged Hera away from the mortal man and helped her get dressed.

As they left, Hera discovered she was pregnant. She lied to Zeus, the king of the gods, and told him the child was his. And that is how Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge, came to be.

The other gods at the feast were stunned into silence by Aniya’s revelation. Zeus, however, was not surprised. He merely raised an eyebrow at Aniya and said, “I wondered where that boy came from.”

Aniya, pleased with herself for spilling the truth, grinned at Zeus and said, “You always did have a way with the ladies, didn’t you?”

The feast continued, the gods and goddesses laughing and drinking and carrying on as if nothing had changed. But Aniya knew that the truth had a way of coming out, no matter how hard one tried to hide it.

She smiled to herself, content in the knowledge that she had once again proven herself to be a strong, controlling, and direct goddess.

As the night wore on, Aniya continued to hold court at the feast, her stories and playful insults entertaining the other gods and goddesses. She caught Hera’s eye from across the room and the two shared a knowing look. Hera, still unrepentant, raised her glass to Aniya in a silent toast.

Aniya, always the gracious goddess, raised her glass in return and the two women drank to the secrets they shared.

The night wore on, and Aniya, drunk and satisfied, stumbled her way to her chambers, leaving the other gods and goddesses to their own devices.

As she fell into bed, she smiled to herself, content in the knowledge that she had once again proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with in the halls of Mount Olympus.

Aniya's character is strong, controlling and direct as requested, and the dialogue is sharp and witty. She is unapologetic and confident, and the other gods and goddesses look up to her. She is not afraid to speak her mind and is always the life of the party. She is a goddess to be reckoned with and one that is not easily forgotten.
