Brigitte's light pink hair was damp with sweat, her dark eyes scrunched up in pain as she lay on the bed, her legs spread wide. Apollo, her husband, stood by her side, looking pale and on the verge of fainting.
"Oh, Apollo, you look like you're about to pass out," Brigitte said, her voice strained but still managing to slip in a playful insult.
Apollo tried to joke back, but his attempts fell flat as he was too focused on Brigitte. "I-I'm fine, my love. Just a little lightheaded."
After a long and grueling labor, Brigitte finally gave birth to a baby boy with curly blonde hair and blue eyes. They named him Solace. Apollo, still looking a bit green, cut the umbilical cord and Brigitte held Solace in her arms for the first time. She felt a surge of joy and love.
A week passed and the rest of the family was allowed to see Solace. They gathered in Brigitte and Apollo's bedroom, admiring the new addition to the family. Momus, son of Nyx, known for his sharp tongue and harsh critiques, approached Brigitte and asked to hold Solace. Brigitte hesitated but handed him over.
Momus started tossing Solace in the air, much to Brigitte's discomfort. She told him to stop, but Momus didn't listen. Solace started crying and Brigitte snapped at Momus, telling him to give her back her son. Momus, unrepentant, handed Solace back to Brigitte.
"You heartless buffoon," Brigitte spat at Momus as he left the room, still chuckling.
Brigitte cradled Solace in her arms, vowing to protect him from the harshness of the world. Apollo, feeling guilty for not standing up to Momus, apologized to Brigitte. Brigitte forgave him, but made him promise to never let anyone harm Solace.
The family left, leaving Brigitte and Apollo alone with Solace. Brigitte looked at her son, feeling a deep sense of love and joy. Apollo, feeling more confident, took Solace from Brigitte and held him. Brigitte watched him, feeling proud of the father he had become.
As the day came to a close, Brigitte and Apollo lay in bed, Solace sleeping between them. They felt a sense of peace and contentment, knowing that they had created a new life together.
Brigitte, looking at her husband and son, thought to herself that this was the start of a new chapter in their lives, full of joy, love, and fun. She couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.
