When Hephaestus' Forge Overflowed: A Tale of Unplanned Pregnancy and Playful Banter

Chapter One: A Surprise of Mythic Proportions

Percy stood in front of the mirror, her reflection staring back at her in disbelief. In her hand, she clutched two positive pregnancy tests, the pink lines glaringly obvious even in the dim light of the bathroom. She let out a sigh, running a hand through her curls. How had this happened? She was a goddess, for crying out loud. She should have been more careful.

The bathroom door creaked open, and Hestia, the goddess of the hearth, walked in, catching Percy off guard. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Hestia asked with a smirk, her eyes immediately spotting the tests in Percy's hand.

Percy's cheeks burned with embarrassment as she tried to hide the tests behind her back. "Nothing," she said, her voice coming out in a squeak.

Hestia raised an eyebrow, "Nothing, huh? You don't expect me to believe that, do you?"

Percy sighed, giving up on the charade. "Fine," she said, holding up the tests. "I'm pregnant."

Hestia's face broke out into a wide grin, "Well, congratulations, dear! That's wonderful news!"

Percy rolled her eyes, "Yes, wonderful. Just what I need right now."

Hestia chuckled, "Oh, come on, Percy. It's not the end of the world."

Percy sighed, "I know, I know. But it's just...it's a lot to take in, you know?"

Hestia nodded, "I understand. But tell me, who's the father?"

Percy hesitated, "Hephaestus."

Hestia's eyes widened, "Your ex-husband?"

Percy nodded, "Yes. We, uh, got carried away."

Hestia shook her head, "Percy, you know better than that. You're a goddess, not a mortal."

Percy sighed, "I know, I know. But it happened."

Hestia put a hand on Percy's shoulder, "Well, it's not the end of the world. We'll figure it out."

Percy looked at Hestia, "Thanks, Hestia. I really appreciate it."

Hestia smiled, "Of course, dear. Now, let's go tell Hephaestus the news."

Percy's eyes widened, "Oh no, I don't know if I'm ready for that."

Hestia laughed, "Well, it's a little too late for that now, don't you think?"

Percy couldn't help but laugh along, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Hestia led Percy out of the bathroom, "Come on, let's go. The sooner we tell him, the sooner we can start making plans."

Percy took a deep breath, following Hestia out of the bathroom. She had a feeling this was just the beginning of a wild ride.
