As they approached Medusa's chambers, Athena broke the silence. "Medusa, I know this is a difficult time for you, but I need you to know that you are not alone. I will stand by you, no matter what."
Medusa looked up at her friend, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Athena. I don't know what I would do without you."
Athena smiled softly. "You would figure it out, just like you always do. You are one of the strongest women I know."
They reached Medusa's door, and Athena helped her inside. Medusa sat down on the edge of her bed, still feeling a little dizzy.
Athena sat down next to her. "Medusa, there is something I need to ask you. Are you sure it was Aphrodite who cursed you?"
Medusa nodded. "Yes, I'm sure. She was furious when she found out about Hermes and me. She threatened to curse me if I didn't break it off with him."
Athena's expression turned serious. "This is very serious, Medusa. A curse from Aphrodite is not something to be taken lightly. We need to figure out a way to break it."
Medusa sighed. "I've been thinking about that, too. But I have no idea how to reverse a curse from the goddess of love."
Athena's eyes twinkled with a hint of mischief. "Well, I might have a few ideas. But first, we need to get you some rest. You've had a long day."
Medusa nodded, feeling exhausted. "You're right. I think I'll take a nap."
Athena stood up and walked towards the door. "I'll let you rest, but we'll need to talk more about this later. I won't let you face this alone."
Medusa smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "Thank you, Athena. I'm lucky to have you as a friend."
Athena winked. "I'm lucky to have you, too. Now, get some rest."
As Athena left the room, Medusa lay down on her bed and closed her eyes. She felt a sense of peace knowing that she had Athena by her side. Together, they would figure out a way to break the curse and face whatever challenges came their way.
