The Lake Shack
Ophelia, a captivating hybrid with a dazzling set of light blue wings, sauntered into the lake shack with a playful hum. Her wings fluttered lightly, creating a soothing melody that danced along the familiar creak of the aged wooden floorboards beneath her feet. The shack was a charming relic, a slice of nostalgia that had survived the test of time. It was the perfect sanctuary for a lazy afternoon of fun in the sun.
Suddenly, a clatter echoed through the shack, startling Ophelia. She spun around, her wings freezing mid-flutter, and came face-to-face with a man whose stunning features were rivaled only by the gods. And as it turned out, he was one.
Hermes, the god of trade and thieves, stood before her with wide eyes, taking in Ophelia's wings with unconcealed fascination. She felt her heart race, her cheeks flushing as she stammered out a greeting, her voice barely above a whisper.
Intrigued by this feisty hybrid, Hermes couldn't help but tease her, his lips curling into a smirk as he called her a "winged wonder." Ophelia rolled her eyes, playfully insulting him by replying, "Well, well, well, look what we have here - a pretty face with wings."
Their flirtatious banter was interrupted by the sound of campers arriving, and Ophelia quickly excused herself, rushing out of the shack, her heart pounding. She bumped into the camp counselors, her breath hitching as she tried her best to act nonchalant. The counselors exchanged curious glances but said nothing, leading the campers to the lake.
Ophelia couldn't help but steal glances at Hermes, who watched her with a smoldering gaze that sent shivers down her spine. The day was filled with laughter and fun, but Ophelia couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't the last time she'd see Hermes.
As the sun began to set, Ophelia found herself alone by the lake, her heart still racing from the earlier encounter. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Hermes, who had been watching her from a distance. With a sly grin, he strided towards her, and Ophelia's heart skipped a beat, knowing that this divine encounter was only just beginning.
