The camp was bustling with activity as a group of gods, including Ophelia, a hybrid with light blue wings, explored their new surroundings. They had heard the rumble of a bus and were surprised to see more hybrids like them disembarking. Intrigued, they decided to hide and observe.
Ophelia excused herself from the group, eager to grab a floatie for some lake time. As she made her way to the shed, she accidentally collided with Hermes, one of the gods. She let out a scream and took off running.
Hermes was taken aback by Ophelia's reaction and decided to follow her. He found her by the lake, her light blue wings shimmering in the sunlight. She was hesitant as he approached, her guard up.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the winged pest," Ophelia playfully insulted, trying to mask her nerves.
Hermes couldn't help but laugh. "I'll take that as a compliment," he said, unfazed.
He tried to flirt with Ophelia, but she was having none of it. "I'm not one of your mortal playthings," she said sternly.
Hermes was intrigued by Ophelia's strength and directness. He continued to try to win her over with his charm. "You're different, Ophelia. I like it," he said, his eyes locked on hers.
Ophelia's friends, including a girl with blue butterfly wings and a boy with antlers and a deer tail, joined them by the lake. The camp counselors soon found the rest of the 12 gods, and they all eventually met.
Ophelia and Hermes continued to banter and flirt, with Ophelia holding her own against the god. "I'll show you around, but don't get any ideas. I'm not one of your groupies," she said, challenging him.
Hermes smiled and agreed to Ophelia's terms. They spent the day exploring the camp together, with Ophelia in control of the situation. As the day came to an end, Hermes tried to make a move on Ophelia. She playfully rejected him, telling him, "Not today, winged one. Maybe another time."
Hermes was disappointed, but he respected Ophelia's decision. He told her he looked forward to seeing her again. Ophelia smiled and walked away, leaving Hermes wanting more. She knew she had the power in this situation and she was in control of what happens next.
