When Ophelia's Wet Wings Meet Hermes: A Hybrid Haven's Heavenly Hiccup

Chapter One: A Divine Encounter

The Lake Shack was bustling with activity as new campers arrived, but Ophelia's mind was elsewhere. She hummed to herself, light blue wings fluttering softly as she searched for a floatie. Her heart raced with excitement at the prospect of lake time, but it skipped a beat when she bumped into a solid figure.

Spinning around, Ophelia found herself face-to-face with Hermes, one of the gods. Her playful glare was swiftly replaced with a rapid heartbeat, but she crossed her arms and smirked. "Well, if it isn't the god of thieves himself. Stealing floaties now?"

Hermes chuckled, those twinkling eyes locking onto Ophelia's wings. "Only the best for me, my dear. And I must say, you're quite the sight. A hybrid with wings? I've never seen anything like it."

Rolling her eyes, Ophelia tried to hide her blush. "Yes, yes, I'm one of a kind. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some lake time to attend to."

Before she could escape, Hermes' hand landed on her arm. "Wait. I mean no harm. I'm just...curious. And intrigued."

Ophelia looked at him, her eyes narrowing. "Intrigued, huh? Well, you're not the only one. I've never seen a god up close before. You're...different."

His grin was irresistible. "Different, huh? I'll take that as a compliment."

She couldn't help but smile back. "Fine. Consider it a compliment. But now, I really must go."

Waving over her shoulder, Ophelia felt a flutter of excitement. "Sure thing, Hermes. Can't wait."

As she stepped out into the sun, Ophelia couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation. She knew she'd run into Hermes again, and she couldn't wait. Setting up her floatie, she glanced over and saw him watching her from a distance. She waved, a challenge in her eyes.

Bring it on, god of thieves. I'm ready for you.
