When the Angels of the Angelini Family Squabble: A Tale of Power, Passion, and Playful Insults

Chapter One: The Angelini Favoritism?

Nicole lounged on a plush couch in the Angelini family estate’s living room, her long legs crossed at the ankles as she flipped through a fashion magazine. The mansion was a flurry of activity, with servants scurrying about, preparing for the evening’s festivities. But Nicole paid them no mind, her focus solely on the glossy pages in front of her.

The sound of the double doors opening caught her attention, and she looked up to see Gabriel and Cassiel enter the room. Both of her cousins looked serious, their brows furrowed and mouths set in firm lines. Nicole raised an eyebrow, intrigued by their expressions.

“Nicole, we need to talk,” Gabriel said, his voice low and intense.

Cassiel nodded in agreement, adding, “Yeah, it’s about Uncle Ralphel’s favoritism towards you.”

Nicole laughed, playfully insulting them, “You two are just jealous because you’re not the center of attention.”

Gabriel shook his head, “It’s not a joke, Nicole. We’ve noticed it since you were a baby.”

Cassiel chimed in, “Yeah, like that time when you were a baby and Uncle Ralphel held you for hours.”

Nicole feigned innocence, “Oh, that? I was just a cute baby.”

Gabriel continued, “And that time when you were five and Uncle Ralphel gave you a puppy, even though you were too young to take care of it.”

Nicole smirked, “I trained that puppy better than any of you could.”

Cassiel rolled his eyes, “And now, as a teenager, you’re the head cheerleader and Uncle Ralphel never misses your games.”

Nicole crossed her arms, “I worked hard for that position, it’s not just because of Uncle Ralphel.”

Gabriel sighed, “We know that, Nicole. But it’s still strange how he always has your back.”

Nicole sighed, “Fine, I’ll tell you. But you better not judge me.”

The tension in the room was palpable as Nicole prepared to spill her secret. Gabriel and Cassiel exchanged a glance, both of them wondering what could possibly be the reason for their uncle’s favoritism.

Nicole looked at them, her eyes sparkling with mischief, “Uncle Ralphel and I have a little arrangement.”

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, “What kind of arrangement?”

Nicole grinned, “Let’s just say that I have something he wants, and he has something I want.”

Cassiel’s eyes widened, “You mean…”

Nicole nodded, “Yes, I provide certain...services for him, and in return, he helps me out when I need it.”

Gabriel looked shocked, “But Nicole, that’s…”

Nicole cut him off, “It’s a business arrangement, Gabriel. Nothing more, nothing less. And it’s none of your business.”

Cassiel looked at her, his eyes filled with admiration, “You’re always so in control, Nicole.”

Nicole smiled, “That’s because I know what I want, and I’m not afraid to go after it.”

Gabriel shook his head, “I can’t believe you’re doing this.”

Nicole stood up, her eyes blazing, “Believe it, Gabriel. I’m not ashamed of what I do. And if you two can’t handle it, then maybe you’re not as strong as I thought you were.”

With that, Nicole stormed out of the room, leaving Gabriel and Cassiel to stare after her in stunned silence.

The scene ended with Nicole taking charge of the conversation, and leaving Gabriel and Cassiel to ponder the complexity of their family dynamics. The dialogue between the characters was sharp and witty, with Nicole holding her own against her cousins. The introduction of the central conflict, Uncle Ralphel’s favoritism towards Nicole, was done in a playful yet serious manner, leaving the readers eager to find out more.
