When the God of Sunlight Sneaks In: A Tale of Joy, Fun, and One Rule Bent Just a Little

Chapter One: One More Night

The first rays of sunlight began to filter through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Brigitte, the goddess of joy and fun, lay in bed with her head propped up on her hand, her light pink hair cascading down her shoulder. She looked over at Apollo, the god of the sun, who was still sound asleep beside her. His chiseled features were relaxed in slumber, and Brigitte couldn't help but feel a pang of affection for him.

But there was something else on her mind, something more pressing. She turned to Apollo, her expression determined. "Apollo, I've been thinking," she said, placing a hand on her belly where their child, Solace, was growing.

Apollo's eyes fluttered open, and he looked at Brigitte with a mixture of surprise and sadness. "Are you sure, Brigitte?" he asked, his voice thick with sleep.

Brigitte nodded. "Yes, it's time for Solace to start sleeping in his own bed. He's getting bigger every day, and it's time for him to start learning independence. Plus, I could use a good night's sleep."

Apollo sighed, but he knew Brigitte was right. He agreed to help her transition Solace to his own bed, and the two of them spent the morning setting up the crib and making it as comfortable as possible for their son.

Later that night, Brigitte and Apollo tuck Solace into his crib and say goodnight. Solace looks up at them with his curly blonde hair and blue eyes, already missing the warmth of their embrace. Brigitte and Apollo return to their own bed, but Brigitte can't shake the feeling that something is missing.

At 3:45 am, Brigitte is jolted awake. She sits up in bed, her heart racing. She looks around the room, but she can't find Solace. Panicked, she shakes Apollo awake. "Apollo, where's Solace?" she asks, her voice shaking.

Apollo rubs the sleep from his eyes and looks around the room. That's when he sees a tuft of curly blonde hair sticking out from under the covers. He pulls back the covers to reveal Solace, fast asleep in Apollo's arms.

Brigitte can't help but roll her eyes. "Apollo, we agreed he would sleep in his own bed," she says, trying to keep the annoyance out of her voice.

Apollo looks up at Brigitte, his eyes pleading. "I just want one more night," he says, his voice barely above a whisper.

Brigitte sighs, but she can't resist the earnestness in Apollo's voice. She climbs into bed next to Solace and Apollo, and the three of them drift off to sleep, tangled in each other's limbs.

As she lies there, Brigitte can't help but smile to herself. Despite the challenges of motherhood, she wouldn't trade this moment for anything. And who knows, maybe just one more night won't hurt.
