The grand hall of Tartarus was alive with the sounds of laughter and debauchery as the gods and goddesses of Olympus gathered for the Feast of Sins. At the head of the table, Aniya, the goddess of sins and ruler of Tartarus, held court. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she regaled the guests with a scandalous tale.
"And then, I discovered Hera, the queen of the gods herself, in a compromising position with a random person," Aniya said, a wicked smile playing on her lips.
But before she could continue, Hera interrupted, her voice icy. "Aniya, that is enough. You have said enough."
The room grew quiet as the guests exchanged suspicious glances. Why would Hera stop Aniya from telling her story?
Zeus, the king of the gods, spoke up. "Aniya, please continue. I'm sure it was all just a misunderstanding."
Aniya's smile grew wider as she revealed the rest of the story. "I dragged Hera out of the room and took her home. She was furious, demanding to know why I had humiliated her. But I simply smiled and told her that she would find out soon enough."
Eight weeks later, Hera discovered she was pregnant and lied to Zeus, saying the child was his. Aniya, amused, watched as Hera tried to pass off the child as Zeus'. The child, Hephaestus, had tan skin like Aniya and dark brown hair that could turn heads. However, Hephaestus was also clearly of Mexican descent, a fact that Zeus overlooked.
Aniya couldn't help but find it hilarious that nobody seemed to notice the obvious. She exchanged knowing glances with the other guests, who were equally amused.
Hera, still trying to maintain her lie, grew increasingly agitated. Aniya, enjoying every moment, continued to subtly mock Hera, relishing in her own cleverness.
"Hera, my dear, are you sure you don't want some more wine? It might help take the edge off," Aniya said, a twinkle in her eye.
Hera glared at her, but said nothing. Aniya's smile only grew wider as she raised her glass in a toast.
"To the Feast of Sins, and to the delicious secrets that we all hold close," Aniya said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
The room erupted in laughter once again, and Aniya knew that she had won this round. But she also knew that the game was far from over.
