The Secret Train to Hybrid Camp
The four of them boarded the train, laughing and exchanging playful insults. Ophelia, with her pale blue wings, rolled her eyes at Gus's latest joke. Wendy, her red hair pulled back into a tight bun, smirked at Bee's retort.
"Watch out, Ophelia, or Bee will steal your throne as queen of sass," Wendy said, nudging her friend.
Ophelia stuck her tongue out at Wendy, but she couldn't help but grin. These three were her closest companions, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Just as the train was about to depart, Hermes, the last god to board, stumbled on. He was hit with a dart, causing him to momentarily lose consciousness. Ophelia's eyes narrowed as she watched him fall to the ground.
"Who threw that?" she demanded, looking around. But the train was already moving, and the culprit was gone.
Hybrid Camp
When they arrived at Hybrid Camp, Ophelia couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The camp was suspiciously empty, and a sense of unease settled over her.
One by one, the gods explored the camp and were hit with darts, passing out cold. Ophelia was the only one left standing, and she looked around in panic.
"Where is everyone?" she whispered to herself.
A net suddenly dropped from the sky, ensnaring Ophelia. She struggled against it, but it was no use. She looked up and saw the entire camp staring at her.
The Gods' Interrogation
Big Man, the head councilor, demanded that the gods state their names and business at Hybrid Camp. Ophelia couldn't help but roll her eyes at their dramatic introductions.
When it was her turn, she took a deep breath and spoke confidently. "I am Ophelia, goddess of the wind and storms. We came to investigate rumors of a secret camp for hybrids."
Big Man's eyes widened in surprise, and Ophelia could see a glimmer of respect in his gaze.
"And why, exactly, did you feel the need to investigate?" he asked, his voice stern.
Hermes, still groggy from the dart, stammers out a response. Ophelia took charge once again, explaining that they wanted to ensure the safety and well-being of all hybrids.
The Hybrid Camp Tour
Impressed by Ophelia's directness, Big Man decided to give the gods a tour of the camp. Ophelia was amazed by the sense of community and acceptance at the camp. She felt a pang of jealousy, knowing that many of the hybrids here had found a sense of belonging that she had never known.
As they were introduced to the different hybrid creatures, Ophelia couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. She had always felt different, even among the other gods, and being surrounded by hybrids made her feel less alone.
The Gods' Departure
After the tour, Big Man informed the gods that they were free to leave, but they must keep the camp's existence a secret. Ophelia and her friends said goodbye to the gods, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards them for finding Hybrid Camp.
As they left the camp, Ophelia couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning. She knew that she would return to Hybrid Camp, and she would fight for the rights and acceptance of all hybrids.
