Gabriel slowly opened his eyes, the room spinning slightly as he tried to focus. He groaned and rubbed his temples, still feeling the effects of the alcohol from the night before. As his vision cleared, he turned his head and saw her - Davina, her naked body sprawled out next to him on the bed.
He couldn't help but stare, taking in the curves and freckles that decorated her skin. His eyes trailed down to her breasts, her nipples hard from the cool air in the room. His gaze continued down her stomach, to the patch of hair between her legs. He felt his cock stir in his boxers, despite the hangover.
But as he looked at her, his mind began to race. He remembered the night before, the passion and the heat between them. And then he remembered something else - he already had a child, Mikey, with his late wife. The possibility of another child, with Davina, scared him.
Gently, he reached out and shook her shoulder. "Davina," he said softly, trying to keep his voice steady.
She stirred, her eyes fluttering open as she looked at him. "Mmm, morning," she murmured, a lazy smile on her face.
Gabriel took a deep breath. "We need to talk," he said, trying to sound casual.
Davina's smile faded a little. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice still groggy from sleep and alcohol.
Gabriel hesitated. "I just... I need to know if you're on birth control," he said, trying to keep his voice steady.
Davina laughed, a loud, boisterous sound that filled the room. "Paranoid much?" she teased, propping herself up on her elbow.
Gabriel felt his face heat up. "I just... I have a lot of responsibilities, and I can't afford any more complications," he said, trying to explain.
Davina rolled her eyes. "Relax, I'm on the pill," she said, patting his arm.
Gabriel felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Okay, good," he said, taking a deep breath.
Davina raised an eyebrow. "You're really worried about this, aren't you?" she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
Gabriel sighed. "I just... I have a lot on my plate, and I can't handle any more surprises," he said, trying to explain.
Davina nodded, understanding dawning in her eyes. "Okay, I get it," she said, her voice softer now.
Gabriel looked at her, feeling a mix of emotions. He was relieved, but he also felt a twinge of guilt for being so worried. "I'm sorry," he said, reaching out to brush a strand of hair out of her face.
Davina smiled. "It's okay," she said, leaning in to kiss him.
Gabriel deepened the kiss, his hands roaming over her body. But as he felt her respond, he pulled away. "We need to keep this a secret," he said, his voice husky.
Davina nodded, understanding. "Okay," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Gabriel got out of bed, his movements stiff from the hangover. He started to get dressed, trying to act like everything was normal.
Davina watched him, feeling a mix of emotions. She was still drunk and couldn't fully process what had happened between them. But as she watched him, she couldn't help but feel a little hurt by his words.
"Get dressed and meet me in the kitchen for breakfast," Gabriel said, turning to her.
Davina nodded, getting out of bed. She started to get dressed, still lost in her thoughts.
As she dressed, she couldn't help but think about what had happened between them. She had never felt so alive, so desired. But she also couldn't help but think about his words - the need to keep it a secret, the worry about complications.
She sighed, pushing the thoughts out of her head. She would deal with it later. For now, she would enjoy the moment, the feeling of being alive and desired.
She finished dressing and made her way to the kitchen, her heart pounding in her chest. She didn't know what the future held, but she knew one thing - she was ready for whatever came next.
