When the Mafia Boss and the Nanny Wake Up in Sin: The Possibility of a Scarlet Heir

Chapter One: The Morning After

Gabriel sat on the edge of the bed, staring down at Davina's sleeping form. Her red hair was splayed out on the pillow, and her green eyes were hidden behind closed lids. She looked so peaceful, completely unaware of the turmoil going on in his mind.

He gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, feeling a sense of protectiveness towards her. But as he looked at the empty bottle of wine on the nightstand, his worry began to grow. They had both gotten drunk last night, and things had escalated quickly.

As he got up to leave, his eyes fell on Davina's exposed leg. He couldn't help but remember the feeling of her body against his, the way she had responded to his touch. But as much as he wanted to stay and bask in the afterglow of their passionate encounter, he couldn't shake off the fear of what might happen next.

He stepped into the shower, letting the hot water wash over him. He tried to clear his head, but the memory of Davina's body against his lingered. He couldn't help but wonder if she was regretting what happened as much as he was.

Downstairs, Davina woke up and found herself alone in Gabriel's bed. She felt a sense of confusion and embarrassment wash over her. She couldn't believe she had slept with her boss.

As she got dressed, she tried to act like nothing had happened. She hoped that Gabriel would do the same. But as she was about to leave the room, he walked in, still dripping wet from his shower.

They both avoided eye contact, the tension between them palpable.

"Morning," Davina said, trying to make a joke about the situation. "I didn't realize we had a sleepover planned."

But Gabriel didn't find it funny. He couldn't even look at her.

Davina decided to take control of the situation. She confronted Gabriel about what happened.

"We can't just pretend like nothing happened," she said. "We need to talk about this."

Gabriel tried to brush it off as a mistake, but Davina wasn't having it.

"You can't just pretend like nothing happened," she repeated. "We need to figure out what we're going to do next."

Gabriel looked at her, finally meeting her gaze. He knew she was right. They couldn't just ignore what happened.

"I'll figure something out," he said, finally meeting her gaze. "I'll take responsibility for my actions."

The chapter ended with Davina nodding, feeling relieved that Gabriel was finally taking things seriously. She knew they had a long road ahead of them, but she was ready to face it head-on.
