The lavish party was in full swing, a cacophony of laughter and conversation filling the air as gods and goddesses mingled, engaging in witty banter and displaying their divine prowess. Among them was Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, her sharp intellect and quick tongue on full display as she held court amidst a group of admirers.
Hercules, the demigod known for his strength and numerous labors, approached Athena with a determined look in his eyes. She glanced up, her piercing gaze taking in his muscular form and the confident smirk playing on his lips.
"Athena, my dear," he greeted, bowing low. "Might I have a word with you in private?"
Athena raised an eyebrow, her suspicion piqued. "I'm not sure that's such a good idea, Hercules. I'm quite busy at the moment."
He persisted, his voice low and insistent. "It's a matter of great importance, I assure you."
With a sigh, Athena relented, allowing Hercules to lead her to a secluded room, the door clicking shut behind them. She turned to face him, her arms crossed over her chest.
"What is it you wish to discuss?" she asked, her tone clipped.
Before she could react, Hercules closed the distance between them, a lecherous grin on his face. "I've been thinking about you, Athena. About us."
Athena took a step back, her eyes narrowing. "There is no 'us,' Hercules. You forget my vow of chastity."
Hercules chuckled, reaching out to brush a stray lock of hair from her face. "A vow that was made to be broken, my dear."
Athena slapped his hand away, her anger rising. "Do not touch me."
Ignoring her rejection, Hercules tried to pull her close, his lips seeking hers. Athena struggled, her hands pushing against his chest as she fought to break free.
Hercules' grip tightened, his other hand covering her mouth to muffle her screams. Athena's eyes widened in fear and disgust, her body trembling as she continued to fight him off.
Just as hope seemed to fade, the door flew open, the force of it slamming against the wall. Zeus, Athena's father and the king of the gods, stood in the doorway, his face dark with fury. Ares, the god of war and Athena's lover, was close behind, his eyes blazing with rage.
Ares lunged at Hercules, his fists flying as he attacked the demigod. Zeus tried to intervene, his voice booming through the room.
"Stop this at once!"
Hercules, realizing he was outnumbered, fled, leaving a shaken Athena in the arms of Ares and Zeus.
Athena, still in shock, pushed Ares away, her voice trembling with anger. "Why did you not protect me sooner?"
Ares, hurt by her words, hung his head. "I-I'm sorry, Athena. I didn't realize-"
"No, you didn't," she snapped, cutting him off. "You were too busy enjoying the party."
Zeus stepped forward, his voice gentle as he spoke. "My dear, we must discuss this. You are pregnant."
Athena's eyes filled with tears, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes, father. I am."
Zeus' face darkened, his fury palpable. "I will take care of this, Athena. Hercules will pay for his actions."
Athena, her voice firm, shook her head. "No, father. I will raise this child myself. I will not let Hercules dictate my future."
Zeus, reluctantly, agreed to her terms, leaving Athena to grieve and plan for the future.
Alone, Athena reflected on the night's events, her heart heavy with emotion. Despite the circumstances, she vowed to be a strong and controlling mother, her love for her unborn child already burning bright.
