The tinkling of bells announced Kairi's entrance into the crowded magical shop, her eyes immediately scanning the shelves for items that could aid in her training. She was the Princess of Light, after all, and she took her responsibilities seriously.
"Well, well, if it isn't the Princess of Light herself. Let's see how bright her day can really get…"
Kairi turned to find Jinxette, disguised as a store clerk, greeting her with a playful insult. Kairi, oblivious to Jinxette's mischief, offered a polite smile. "Good afternoon. I'm looking for some enchanted scarves."
Jinxette smirked, gesturing towards a rack nearby. "Over there, Princess. May the magic be with you."
Kairi browsed through the selection, her eyes focused on the shimmering fabrics. As she bent slightly to reach for an item, she heard a strange noise. She paused, looking around to see if anyone noticed. A few people glanced her way, but she brushed it off as her imagination.
As Kairi continued shopping, the spell grew stronger, triggering every time she moved. She tried to discreetly adjust her pace, but each step only made the sounds worse. A customer nearby snickered, "Was that... her?"
Kairi blushed, muttering, "This isn't happening…"
She tried to quietly leave the store, but the spell increased its intensity, drawing the attention of everyone around her. Jinxette, feigning concern, asked, "Oh dear, miss, are you feeling alright? You're sounding a little… gassy."
Kairi, whispering, tried to maintain dignity. "Who are you? Did you do this?"
Jinxette dropped her disguise, grinning. "Guilty as charged! Don't you just love being the center of attention?"
The spell culminated in a final prank: when Kairi sat down on a bench outside the store, it triggered a magically enhanced, thunderous noise that echoed through the entire street. Everyone nearby burst into laughter. Kairi, utterly humiliated, buried her face in her hands.
Jinxette, chuckling, disappeared into the crowd. "Until next time, Princess."
Kairi, despite her embarrassment, vowed to get back at Jinxette. "This isn't over, Jinxette. You haven't seen the last of me."
As she stood up, the bench let out another loud noise, causing a few chuckles from the remaining crowd. Kairi rolled her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips. She may have been the butt of the joke today, but she wouldn't let Jinxette have the last laugh.
With renewed determination, Kairi straightened her back and walked away, her head held high. She would find a way to turn the tables on Jinxette, and when she did, it would be epic.
