Chapter 1: Sparks in the Wilderness
The campfire crackled under a star-drenched sky, casting a warm, flickering glow over the four friends huddled around it. Dan, with his rugged jawline and mischievous smirk, tossed another log onto the flames, sending sparks dancing into the cool night air. Elliot, a sharp-tongued brunette with a penchant for adventure, leaned back on her hands, her toned legs stretched out in front of her. Kayla, the fiery redhead with a laugh that could melt glaciers, sipped from a flask, her green eyes glinting with unspoken promises. And Maddie, the blonde with a mind as quick as her wit, fiddled with a marshmallow on a stick, her full lips curling into a sly smile.
‘So, Dan,’ Elliot started, her voice dripping with playful accusation, ‘you drag us out to the middle of nowhere, and your grand plan is to bore us with ghost stories? I expected more... heat.’ She arched an eyebrow, her gaze locking with his.
Dan chuckled, leaning forward, his forearms resting on his knees. ‘Oh, darlin’, if it’s heat you want, I’ve got plenty to share. Just say the word.’
Kayla snorted, passing the flask to Maddie. ‘Careful, Elliot. Dan’s all talk. I bet he couldn’t light a fire in bed if his life depended on it.’ Her smirk was a challenge, and Dan’s eyes darkened with intrigue.
‘Is that so?’ Dan shot back, his voice low and dangerous. ‘Why don’t you come closer and test that theory, Kayla? I’ll have you sweating before the night’s out.’
Maddie laughed, her marshmallow catching fire as she pulled it from the flames. ‘You two are hopeless. If I wanted to watch foreplay, I’d have stayed home with my vibrator.’ She blew out the tiny blaze, her lips pursing in a way that made Dan shift uncomfortably in his seat.
‘Damn, Maddie,’ Elliot said, grinning. ‘Keep talking like that, and I might just ditch these two and take you into the tent myself.’
The air thickened with tension, the banter weaving a web of unspoken desire. They’d been friends for years, but out here, miles from civilization, the rules felt different. The wilderness stripped them bare—metaphorically, for now. Kayla stood, brushing dirt off her shorts, her curves catching the firelight as she sauntered over to Dan.
‘Alright, hotshot,’ she purred, standing over him, hands on her hips. ‘Let’s see if you can back up that big mouth of yours. Or are you just gonna sit there, getting hard over empty promises?’
Dan’s grin was feral as he rose to meet her, their bodies inches apart. ‘Keep pushing, Kayla. I’ll have you dripping before you can say “campfire.”’
Elliot and Maddie exchanged a glance, a silent agreement passing between them. This wasn’t just a game anymore. The heat of the fire was nothing compared to the inferno building among them. Elliot stood, her movements predatory as she approached the pair. ‘Room for one more?’ she asked, her voice husky, her fingers brushing Kayla’s arm.
Maddie tossed her stick aside, joining the circle, her eyes alight with hunger. ‘Make that two. I’m not sitting this out.’
Dan’s breath hitched as the three women surrounded him, their energy electric, commanding. Kayla’s hand slid up his chest, her nails grazing his skin through his shirt. ‘Let’s see how long you last, Dan,’ she whispered, her lips hovering near his ear. Elliot’s fingers tangled in his hair, pulling just hard enough to make him groan, while Maddie’s smirk promised trouble as her hand dipped lower, teasing the waistband of his jeans.
The night was young, and the wilderness was about to witness a wildfire of its own. Their bodies pressed closer, the air thick with anticipation, panting breaths mingling as the first barriers of clothing began to fall...
