The school courtyard was a whirlwind of activity during lunchtime, with students buzzing about like bees, moving from one cluster to another, chattering and laughing. Amidst the sea of students, Kurumi sat on a bench, her striking features set in an indifferent expression as she observed the people around her.
Her girlfriend, Asuka, approached her with a warm smile, a tray of food in her hands. "Hey, grumpy," Asuka greeted, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Still scowling at the world?"
Kurumi rolled her eyes, a small smirk playing on her lips. "And here I thought you'd be mingling with your adoring fans."
Asuka laughed, the sound melodic and infectious. She leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Kurumi's lips. Despite her initial reluctance, Kurumi found herself responding with equal passion.
A group of students passed by, whispering and giggling amongst themselves. Among them was a handsome, popular boy who couldn't help but stare at Asuka. Kurumi noticed this and felt a sudden, inexplicable surge of anger. She narrowed her eyes, clenching her fists as she tried to suppress her violent impulses.
Asuka, noticing Kurumi's sudden change in mood, asked her what was wrong. Kurumi, trying to downplay her jealousy, made a dismissive comment about the students around them.
Asuka, not convinced, pressed Kurumi for an answer. "What's really bothering you?"
Kurumi, unable to contain her jealousy any longer, blurted out, "I don't like the way that boy was looking at you."
Asuka, surprised and amused, teased Kurumi about her "yandere" tendencies. Kurumi, embarrassed, tried to deny it, but Asuka leaned in and whispered, "I find it cute and endearing, you know."
Kurumi's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a warmth spread through her body. She leaned into Asuka's embrace, feeling a sense of security and belonging.
Their moment was interrupted by the end of lunchtime, and the students dispersed, leaving Kurumi and Asuka alone in the courtyard.
As they walked back to class, Asuka turned to Kurumi and said, "You know, I only have eyes for you, right?"
Kurumi smiled, feeling a sense of relief and happiness. "I know," she said. "I'm the lucky one."
