The morning sun filtered through the curtains of Yor Forger's apartment, casting a soft glow over her bedroom. Yor stirred, her body feeling unusually heavy and different. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, and immediately noticed a strange sensation in her chest. Frowning, she swung her legs out of bed and padded over to the mirror.
As she gazed at her reflection, Yor's eyes widened in shock. Subtle changes were evident on her face—stronger jawline, thicker eyebrows. Her heart raced as she watched in disbelief as her features slowly morphed, taking on more masculine characteristics.
"What the hell is happening to me?" Yor muttered, her voice cracking mid-sentence. It deepened suddenly, startling her further. Panic surged through her as she tried to make sense of the bizarre transformation.
Just then, the door to her bedroom swung open, and her roommate Loid walked in, a steaming cup of coffee in hand. His eyes widened, and the cup slipped from his grasp, shattering on the floor.
"Yor, what—?" Loid stammered, his gaze fixed on her changing form.
"Stop staring and do something useful, you idiot!" Yor snapped, her new deep voice echoing in the room.
Loid blinked, recovering from his initial shock. "We should go to a doctor, Yor. This is—"
"Shut up! Can't you see I'm freaking out here?" Yor interrupted, her clothes suddenly feeling tighter. Frustration boiling over, she tore at her shirt, buttons flying across the room.
Loid averted his eyes, his cheeks flushing. "Here, take my shirt," he offered, holding out a garment.
Yor snatched it from him, pulling it over her head. "Useless pervert," she muttered, though her tone lacked real venom.
They rushed out of the apartment, Yor complaining loudly about the absurdity of the situation. "I wake up one morning and suddenly I'm turning into a man? What kind of twisted reality is this?"
Loid jogged to keep up with her long strides. "I know it's crazy, Yor, but we'll figure it out. Just try to stay calm."
"Calm? How am I supposed to stay calm when my voice sounds like a damn baritone?" Yor retorted, her new deep voice intimidating passersby.
At the doctor's office, Yor stormed up to the reception desk, her presence commanding attention. "I need to see a doctor. Now," she demanded, her voice brooking no argument.
The staff hurried to comply, and soon Yor was sitting in an examination room, Loid hovering nervously nearby. The doctor, bewildered by Yor's condition, ran a series of tests but returned with no clear answers.
"It appears to be a rare genetic anomaly," the doctor explained, looking apologetic. "We'll need to do more research, but for now, I'm afraid there's not much we can do."
Yor's patience snapped. "That's it? That's all you've got?" She stood up, her new height towering over the doctor. "Come on, Loid. We're not waiting around for them to figure it out. We'll do it ourselves."
Back at the apartment, Yor paced the living room, trying to adjust to her new body. She stumbled over her own feet, unused to the changed center of gravity. Loid watched, a mix of concern and amusement on his face.
"You know, Yor, at least you've got some impressive new equipment to play with," Loid quipped, trying to lighten the mood.
Yor shot him a glare but couldn't help a small smile. She playfully punched his arm. "Shut up, or I'll use this new strength to knock you out."
As the day wore on, Yor's initial panic gave way to a mix of frustration and curiosity. She turned to Loid, her expression serious. "Alright, teach me how to be a man. What do I need to know?"
Loid scratched his head, looking a bit nervous. "Well, for starters, you might want to learn how to pee standing up. And maybe work on your handshake—it's a bit too strong now."
Yor laughed, the sound deep and resonant. "Fine, but you're helping me every step of the way. We're tackling this bizarre situation together."
Loid nodded, a nervous smile on his face. "Together. I wouldn't have it any other way."
As they settled in to navigate this unexpected transformation, Yor felt a surge of confidence. Whatever this new reality brought, she was ready to face it head-on, with Loid by her side.
